Weekly Summary (Week 5_Robinson)

EDU 651: Collaboration & Learning in a Virtual Environment

Week 5 was a very busy week. Discussion 1 – applications invites and feedback. Visiting all of my classmates' classroom sites on Facebook, Ning, and PBWorks was great. The creativity really shined through on many of the sites. Ning and PBWorks are really easy to work with once you get the hang of the site. I look forward to being able to use one or more sites in a real scenario. Discussion 2 - Delicious is an easy bookmarking site – not sure, I would use it on a regular basis. It was good to expand our knowledge base about available tech tools. Assignment 1 - writing a letter to a supervisor or department head convincing them of using a wiki or similar tech tool in the classroom was pretty easy. And assignment 2 - was really a prelude to our final paper. Overall, this was an AWESOME week of 2.0 learning!
